therapeutic massage in portland, or
Kirstin Hoops, LMT/EOLD
I have been practicing massage therapy and energywork in Portland since 2020. My work is a blend of modalities, including craniosacral, myofascial release, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, Swedish massage, traditional Thai bodywork, Reiki, sound healing and breathwork. My intention as a therapist is to collaborate with my clients to facilitate self-awareness, self-acceptance, peace and holistic wellbeing. I do my best to attune to every person I touch, inviting change while honoring vulnerability— holding space for all parts, light and dark. My operating principle is mettā: loving kindness.
In addition to my private bodywork practice and work as a massage educator at East West College of the Healing Arts, I am passionately devoted to easing the burden of death and loss on both the dying and their loved ones, and now offer community support as an End of Life Doula (EOLD) and with outcall palliative massage therapy. As a practitioner with the Portland Grief House Deathcare Collective, I am collaborating with other providers to offer the support our world so dearly needs through the transformative, expansive, devastating and cyclical processes of grief.

All professionalism aside, I’m a silly, bubbly weirdo, and fully experience the joy of this strange little life. If I’m not working, I’m exploring the wild PNW, dancing, steeping in community, playing music, reading fiction, grading papers, cooking something fancy, or snuggling with my cat Cardamom (Cardi C).
